Antioxidant Face Mask

Want to feed your skin from the outside? Lather on an Antioxidant Face Mask.

Antioxidants help protect our skin from cell damage by helping neutralize free radicals that come from environmental pollution and chemicals. They also aid in protecting our skin from aging by slowing the breakdown of collagen and elastin from the sun and the passage of time.

Egg yolk and honey mixed in Antioxidant Face Mask by Flora's Feast Botanicals

Egg yolk may seem like a curious wet ingredient to hydrate your mask, but it is rich in water, fats, vitamins and minerals helping revitalize dull skin. It acts as a binding agent allowing the powdered herbs to come together for a smooth mask.

Honey is a humectant that means it draws moisture from the air and brings it to the skin while also maintaining it within the skin.

The smell in itself is quite delightful. The cacao, vanilla and cinnamon make for a berry hot chocolate scent.

This recipe makes two face masks. Plan a little spa treatment with your partner, friend or child or save half the powder for next time and sacrifice half of the egg yolk.
