Herbal Hair Rinse

Herbal hair rinse by Flora's Feast Botanicals

Did you know tea works on your hair too?!! By applying herbs directly to the skin, a hair rinse encourages circulation to your scalp and conditions your mane. The cold splash of the tea, at the end of your shower, closes the hair follicles resulting in shiny, smooth locks.

If any herb signifies hair support, rosemary is your plant. It is an overall tonic for both hair and scalp. It supports darkening or retaining color, strengthening and brightening, may prevent premature loss and aid in dandruff.

Nettle is high in vitamins and minerals that may strengthen hair, enhance color, stimulate growth, improve texture and aid in dandruff.

Horsetail's high mineral properties extract well in water, helping to nourish and strengthen your locks.

Sage to assist in darkening the color of hair, along reduction of dandruff and stimulating growth.

Chamomile is the star of this recipe for supporting a dry and irritated scalp. It may also help with highlights of blonde colored hair. If you have oily hair, you could swap it for lavender or peppermint.

Even just one round of using this hair rinse really helped my own scalp from feeling dry and itchy!

*Alternatively, you can steep these plants in apple cider vinegar (ACV) for 4 weeks. Strain and dilute the vinegar with water. The result will be shelf stable and help PH balance your scalp.

*I make big batches on the tea blend so I always have it ready to be used.
